No me gusta “postear” dos fotos del mismo motivo o lugar (con la cantidad de fotos que hacemos a sitios tan distintos!!). No me convencen las mil fotos del mismo motivo que se ve en algunas galerías… (es sólo una opinión) pero este lugar me pareció lo suficiente llamativo para mostrar una toma más cercana de la entrada a la universidad de la foto anterior. Además de parecer, a simple vista, dos lugares totalmente distintos.
En la composición original de esta fotografía se me “coló” en la parte superior (por el uso del gran angular) una porción de cielo que desviaba la atención del motivo principal, que es la bola de acero. Nada que un pequeño “crop” de la parte superior no pueda evitar, tratando así, además de centrar la atención en la bola, como comentaba, generar una sensación de “falta de escapatoria” que nos proporciona el cielo en las fotos. No sé a vosotros, pero a mí era lo que me provocaba la universidad… :)
He intentado buscar el significado de la frase en latín que se encuentra sobre la puerta de entrada y que es “Nascitur ex variis radiis lux candida solis artibus ex variis unica fax radiat” pero no lo he encontrado. Entiendo casi todas las palabras sueltas pero me falta dar con el significado… venga, ¿alguna ayuda?

I don’t like, usually, to post two pictures from same mean or place (not with the huge number of pictures we take from some places!!). I really get bored of checking some galleries with a thousand pictures from same building, for instance... (it’s only my opinion, not a critics…) but this previous place I thought it deserved a second chance. Besides, both pictures look like being shot in different places.
Original composition was having on top “some” sky. This was distracting viewer from main mean that is the steel ball. I cropped and I think I’ve got two results: first of all, we recover focus our sight at steel ball. Second, it gives a “non escape” look alike, like usually sky gives to any picture. I don’t know you, but that feeling is the one I had at University… :)
I’ve tried to find meaning of latin sentence on top of main door ““Nascitur ex variis radiis lux candida solis artibus ex variis unica fax radiat” but I didn’t find it. As “latin” Spanish, I understand almost everyword but I miss the whole meaning. Any help??

Here are the ink cartridges in my new Brother multifunction device. I can replace any one color as it runs out! I put a measuring tape across the door for a size comparison. This is the big machine, so the cartridges are larger than the ones in my mother's 8.5 x 11 unit.

My mother bought a Brother and I rather wanted one because I like being able to buy individual colors when one runs out instead of a whole cartridge. I looked all over online and was not impressed with what I saw. I stopped at Staples on the way home from Wal*Mart and found this! I have not even turned it on yet, but I just had to show ya!
